Typhoon Ondoy

Destruction of Mother Earth paid its price.

Typhoon Ondoy hit Philippines last Saturday, Sept. 26. I thought it was just an ordinary typhoon. Maybe because I was not able to experience much its wrath. But when we turned on the TV. WHOAAA! Rizal, Manila, and neighboring areas were a big river. A big flash flood has washed away almost 90% of the affected areas. Oh so grave! Houses, cars, and stuff were all submerged, and people were fighting for their lives, finding ways to survive this dreadful happening. The situation seemed end of the world. A lot of innocent lives were wasted, killed, missing. People, regardless of their status in life, are now homeless and have been greatly affected by this typh. We're really lucky and blessed to be living here in the mountain area.

GOD! We need YOU!

There will be no classes for one week due to the circumstances brought by the typh. Dunno if I should be happy with it.

Week.

No classes last Monday (09/21) Then I didn't go to school the following day. :P I've been excused for this week and the succeeding ones until Oct. 15 for DSPC and STEP Skills. Gosh. So hectic. I'll be competing in Photojournalism and Sports Writing. In STEP, I'll be in E-Poster Making. :P

It's 27 todaaaay! :D x) 2nd. :">

No classes for us tomorrow. :D But we'll have classes on Sat. :\ Nvm.

Feature Writing. 5place.

I won in all the categories I joined. :D I didn't join the Editorial Writing and Cartooning. :P

I'll be joining Photojourn for the DSPC. :D

Busy week!

Long time no post. :P

It has been a busy week for me. Full of preparations for the Sci Fair.
Last Thursday, Aleck slept over in our house. :)
Yesterday, Friday, we had the Science day. :P

Sci Fair. We did good naman. :) Pang-11th kami na nag-Congress. Hopefully makapasok kami sa top 3.
Then after that, we went to Carlo P's house to take a bath.
Start na ng Sci camp. Dog show first, then magic chuchu plus the puppet show.
Sleeping time na after. We were divided into teams. I'm in Red team. Then hiwalay ang girls and boys. We slept in IV-Humi's room, the boys were in III-Joy.
We woke up at 2am to prepare na for the Amazing Race. :) Cheer chuchu muna before the race.

Amazing Race:
Bawal maghiwahiwalay so the whole race dapat hawak kamay kami ng buong team. Grabe, 60 members ata kami.
It took us almost 30 mins looking for Eun since nasa kanya ung first clue. :P The stations were fun. And ang cute ng clues, may halong scary stuff. :))

First station and 2nd station - Garden area. Look for clue. Then our best player, kuya Joma was asked to stay as we do our first task in the Wash area. 10 representatives, they memorized something, blah. Then balik kami sa garden to get kuya Joma. After that, binigay na ung next clue.
3rd station - Journ room. Tongue twister na dapat loud and clear na sasabihin ng buong team.
4th station - HE room. We were asked to remove our socks, then pinag-tie namin lahat ng socks. Tapos tinali ung tied socks around the whole team (Imagine we're about 60 in out team), then dapat walang matanggal na socks as we go to our next station.
5th station - corridor. Pinagulong ung 3 representatives from one end of the corridor (III-Loy) to the other end (Speech lab).
6th station - Duhat tree. (Scary) The first task was pass the message na pasulat sa likod. Di nagawa. Second task, I was the representative to answer a question. If I didnt get it right, we would have stayed there for 3 mins. Good thing I know the answer sa longest word.
7th station - Conference-Dorm bridge. Scary again :P Some representatives were blindfolded tapos may task silang ginawa using cans na illayer thing. :P
8th station - Front of school Rizal 1. Look for clue. Then dapat pupunta kami sa next station na ang way ng pag-hawak kamay is ung left hand ilulusot namin between our thighs tapos connect connect na un.
9th station - Washroom near the TLE room. Since naghintay kami ng matagal matapos ung Orange team, we were given an incentive. Pinagkasya ung buong team sa loob ng CR, closed doors. Gah, init tas ang smelly pa. :))
Last station - Quad. Tatayo back to back with partner tas race to the stage. -30 secs sa time pag matagal.

We ended up as 2nd to finish the race, 3rd place though sa Amazing Race kasi we consumed time sa last station kasi may isang pair na nahirapan. :p Then we were 2nd sa overall. :)

After that, breakfast. Last challenge na cleaning. Then dismissal. Nag eat muna kami sa Jollibee with Abby M, Mike, Jonver, and Aleck then uwi na. :)

Busy yet happy! :D

No classes last Monday, Sept 7.

Uwian siya this week. :D Wee! I forgot na the happenings sa other days, basta busy lately, pero Tuesday and Wednesday, there weren't much teachers because of their meetings. :P

Kanina, I was requested by Sir Elmer to take charge on the registration for the meeting of Sci teachers all over Rizal. Mike, Lec and Villy came with me. Enjoy naman kami sa pag-assist. :D Haha. After that tiring task, we had a meeting naman for the Sci Fair. :P Then may meeting naman after that SSG. Haha. Grabe. Red and Aleck accompanied me sa SM. Bookstore galore. :P Haha. Sandali lang kami dun. Happy day. :D

Aleck will go here tomorrow for our Research. :)

First week of September. :)

We had our School Press Conference this week. :) As well as the Municipal Meet.

Sept 1. Opening of SPC. We had News and Editorial Writing that day. :) Haha, we did not make an editorial. :P Guilty.

Sept 2. Advanced games for the Municipal Meet. We had Copy editing, Feature and Sports Writing. I did all. :) We also watched games. Had fun roaming around and watching games. :))

Sept 3. Official opening of the meet. Last day of SPC. Had Photojournalism and Editorial Cartooning. Joined photojourn but not the cartooning. Watched more games. :D

Sept 4. Back to classes. We were excused before lunch for the layouting in photojourn. Didn't have much teachers in the afternoon. FFFC! :D Loved it. :D The speaker was fun.

No classes on Monday. :D :))
